The Legal Representative as well as founder of the S. Freud private school, Dr. Daniele Nappo, describes how the inclusion of a subject such as Marketing and Communication in the curriculum is very important for today's young people living in an ever-changing and increasingly globalized society.
At the Sigmund Freud paritarian high school in Milan at the Tecnico Economico del Turismo, with the curricular teaching of Marketing and Communication as early as the first year, the aim is to provide strategies and methodologies as valid and indispensable tools for decision-making and action planning inherent in the marketing process. The course presents attentions to the enhancement of creativity and team building, which is very important for young people today, as means of communicating through exercises and simulations with a view to an increasingly open, laboratory-based teaching activity that is sensitive to changes in an increasingly globalized society. Particular attention is paid to the aspect of Tourism Marketing, which is one of the fundamental and necessary topics that constitute the essential core of the professionalism of modern tourism managers. With the study of Tourism Communication we aim to develop the specialized elements from a perspective focused on its communication structures. In detail, specific issues will be addressed to identify and manage the most effective communication tools for the tourism sector, including through an analysis of innovations and new information technologies. As for the main employment and professional outlets, they are along three lines. The first is that of roles that tend to evolve to managerial positions in marketing, product, brand, category, communication, sales, key account and trade marketing; the second is that of market analyst with particular focus on consumer behavior, segmentation and positioning, as well as competitive dynamics. The third is as a consultant in marketing, communication, public relations.
