PROJECT- SCHOOL MAGAZINE “LE ULTIME DI SIGMUND”

The principal, in compliance with the decision of the Teaching Staff- is pleased to announce that Istituto S. Freud has established a new editorial staff of our well-known school magazine “Le ultime di Sigmund” ( English Translation: "The latest news of Sigmund")

The project has been initially presented and developed by the III class of the School for Tourism Economics and Management under the coordination of the teachers Mrs. Tomasi and Ms Bruno, but the participation to the following project is open to all students and teachers of the School, for a final product that represents the sense of community of the whole Institute.

At the moment the editorial staff is structured in this way:

• Chief editor and Assistant: Despina Kotidis e Virginia Mangini
• Journalists: Their task consists in writing articles on different topics, according to the wish of all students.
• Proofreaders: Their task consists in checking typing and grammar mistakes: Giorgia Rizzo and Beatrice Croce
• Secretary and Media Relations: Their task consists in collecting the articles in conformity to the topics related : Beatrice Croce e Davide Grassi.
• IT experts: these students take care of the graphics of the magazine, of the computerized composition of the single pages: Riccardo Vairani and Keir Recchia
• Picture, photography,Video curators: Their task consist in collecting or realizing pictures and photos, video and/or comics to enrichen the Blog and the paper version with funny,interesting and curious pictures: Ivan Rotondo, Alessandro Burgo and Boris Aiello
• All the articles, pictures, videos and graphics- when checked by the IT experts- will pass to the proofreaders and finally they can be published on line.

All the school classes of the Institute can contribute to the growth of the magazine, by sending their articles to the newspaper's staff email : [email protected]

The project foresees,- for the future years- the visit to a newspaper office in our city and some meetiing with a journalist at school. in this way the journalist can reveal secrets and the backgrounf of such a fascinating and tricky profession.

This activity, that is seen as an efficient insturment to give voice to all students, wants to achieve these aims:

• to make the students more aware towards the different social issues and to make them get used to give correct information;
• to involve the students proactively to the school life;
• to make the students understand the reality, by promoting the comparison and the creativity;
• to develop their analytical skills and their ability to synthetize and to conceptualize;
• to think critically;
• to acquire a civic awareness;
• to improve the processes of writing; 
• to enhance the social interaction through a temwork with the school-mates;
• to create the same proect to be aware of belonging to the same school community;
• to encourage proactively all the families in the school activities, so that parents have the opportunity to find in the school magazine an immediate 'medium' to express opinions and give advice, but especially to receive detailed information that focus on the various initiatives and objectives that the School aims to reach.

Sharing ideas, information, visions of events opens up a window on the contemporary world and this can give origin to new forms of awareness and critical abilities di idee.

The School is in favour of these initiatives. It is sure of the opportunities related to these projects. 

Therefore, the Principal encourages the full cooperation and participation of the School Institution to this Project.
