Stage Project

Collaboration between the world of work and the School Collective is also evident in the activity of company internships that allow the student to assess the validity of his or her training in the field.

The main form of possible encounter and active interaction between students nearing the end of their secondary education and the world of work is undoubtedly the training internship. It is on this occasion, in fact, that the student can have the first approach to what could be the natural job outlet consequential to the type of studies undertaken; it is on this occasion that he or she can verify how useful the skills learned in the course of studies can be in order to be able to carry out certain tasks or functions in the working environment.
CURRICULAR STAGE is aimed at pupils in the fourth and fifth grades. The teachers in charge of this project, agree with the companies on the timing, methods and content and then proceed to the evaluation of the training with the company's own tutor.
The experience was articulated at facilities that respond to the personal interests of the students, enabling them to:

  • to become aware of a possible future insertion in the labor field and to realize a growing network collaboration with the territorial reality;
  • learn about the role played by public and private institutions and/or services in the Territory;
  • lay the foundations for the creation of a mentality and a social and educational sensitivity that are indispensable for fostering one's own personal and professional culture through direct contact with the world of work;
  • develop aptitudes for flexibility.

The internship experience:

  • fosters the acquisition of basic skills through guided observations within work areas and willingness to learn;
  • develops flexibility in the execution of specific tasks within the work reality at which the Internship is carried out;
  • challenges the students themselves on self-awareness in a context of relationships;
  • acquaints professional figures of reference ;
  • fosters the development of personal interactions and communication dynamics in the work environment;
  • allows the study of the labor market and opportunities in the area;
  • fosters knowledge of the organization and management of Companies, Cooperatives, and Institutions.

The internship experience is always engaging and stimulating both for students and for teachers and operators with whom relationships of esteem and collaboration are established, creating an ever-widening network with all territorial realities and new professional figures.

Some agreements are currently being defined with companies operating in the computer and electronic field and with public bodies responsible for both environmental protection and protection of workers; in these agreements will be defined a 'careful planning including internships and information actions in order to achieve a' school-work alternation as desired by the new directives issued by the Minister of Education.
