CONTENTS
WST Show stands for WORLD SPORT TOURISM Show, and is the first Sports and Accessible Tourism Fair. It stems from the belief in the recognition of the crucial role of sports in the tourism of the future and the possible positive effects on issues related to the environment and local economies.
Tourism is constantly evolving but an important change in tourism demand and expectation is now well established.
Innovative segmentation today means moving away from standard, undifferentiated, generalist segmentation patterns and going to dig into what our tourists want in a given time period. Such an approach, on the one hand, challenges the standardization accrued by mass tourism; on the other hand, it provokes the discovery and/or emergence of many niche segments on which we can work for an experiential type of offer in perfect line with the new trends.
Experience that tourists make by living moments of daily life of the destination they visit, participating actively and firsthand in the activities that take place there, going to dig into the traditions, customs and traditions of a location to allow on the one hand the visitor to be able to enjoy (visually and materially) an authentic, unique and personal experience; and on the other to directly influence the vitality of the destination and the rediscovery of their roots by the local population.
A segment that has been growing steadily for years now is sports tourism.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To highlight the positive relationship between sport, accessibility, tourism and environmental protection, with the redevelopment possibilities offered to the area, in addition to the opportunities offered in terms of investment and employment support;
