“S. Freud” Institute, in its constant and attentive participation in the problems to which adolescents are exposed, proposes an educational project to prevent Bullying.
The phenomenon is often guiltily underestimated, determined not by the episodic nature of the acts, but by the widespread misinformation and the tendency not to report the violence suffered: out of fear or in the persuasion that every gesture or word can be justified in the perspective of a joke.
Violence - physical and/or verbal - IS NEVER a joke. Instead, it is a danger that, in addition to the immediate consequences, exposes the victim to long-term damaging and corrosive effects on proper and healthy personality development.
Harm to the victim, but also to the bully, who is also paradoxically a victim of himself, of his own distorted perception that “hurting ‘means ’being strong.”
Therefore, it is intended to preliminarily disseminate a video on the topic made by our Italian and History teacher Prof. Daniela Ferro with an explanation of the phenomenon, from how it manifests itself to strategies to intervene.
This will be followed in the classes by meetings and moments of exchange on the topic directly with the students.
