Participation as an audience in the TV program “The Wall”
On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, the classes 5^ A Technical Economic Tourism and 5^ A ICT of the S. Freud Private School participated as an audience in the recording of the TV program “The Wall” hosted by Gerry Scotti and produced by Endemol, at the studios in Via Crescenzago 83, Milan.
The experience was of great interest and enthusiasm for our students, who were fascinated by the “behind-the-scenes” world of a TV studio.
The Freud group was also greeted by Gerry Scotti. The episode is scheduled to be aired on December 9, 2017.
The Wall is an award-winning television program aired on Channel 5 since November 20, 2017, in the pre-serial slot, hosted by Gerry Scotti. It is based on the US format of the same name broadcast on NBC.
The first episode, which aired on November 20, 2017, scored more than 5 million viewers with a 24 percent share, thus managing to beat even the competition.
The star of the Game Show is a 12-meter-high wall, consisting of 7 numbered trapdoors and 15 boxes at the base of it, into which “orbs” will fall, thrown from the trapdoors, which can be:
- Green, which cause contestants to gain the value imprinted on the squares into which the thrown sphere will fall;
- Red, which cause contestants to lose the value imprinted on the squares into which the thrown sphere will fall;
- White, which correspond to a question, whose correct answer will turn them into green spheres and whose incorrect answer will turn them into red spheres.
A pair of contestants participates in each episode, whose goal is to win the highest possible prize money by answering general knowledge questions in three rounds.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS:
The initiative, which falls within the scope of School Work Alternance activities, allowed students to:
- approach the working world by coming into contact with an innovative and stimulating context
- observe, through their own experience, the dynamics that are established in a TV studio
- stimulate interest and curiosity.
