From February 26 to March 1, 2024, students in the first and second classes of all addresses will take part in the educational trip with destinations Florence, Pisa and Siena in Tuscany.
THE DESTINATIONS
FLORENCE
Cradle of great artists, the Tuscan capital is an area rich in history and charm. Florence, in fact, is a city that has maintained the charm and beauty that have characterized its history unchanged over time. Known worldwide for its artistic masterpieces, colorful marble churches and majestic architecture, Florence is the city of the Medici, an ancient Tuscan family that became one of the most important dynasties in Italy and Europe. It boasts numerous buildings, monuments and museums worth visiting: from Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizi Gallery, from Palazzo Pitti to the Boboli Gardens.
PISA
Pisa is an extraordinary city whose beauty is not limited only to the Piazza dei Miracoli with its celebrated Leaning Tower. Pisa is science and knowledge: the birthplace of Galileo Galilei, it is also the home of the Normale di Pisa one of the most prestigious universities in Italy-and the headquarters of the National Research Council. It was one of the four Maritime Republics along with Amalfi, Genoa and Venice, and its maritime trade brought enormous wealth to the city, thanks to which magnificent palaces were built that can still be admired today.
SIENA
Siena is an ancient medieval city built on three hills and still surrounded by walls. The heart of the town revolves around the Piazza del Campo, it was conceived as a work of art that blends into the surrounding landscape of the Crete Senesi. The city of Siena is a medieval jewel made of brick and stone that holds dozens of Gothic palaces, churches and squares of enchanting beauty.
PURPOSE.
- To complete curricular school activities together with a confrontation with the outside world, regarding socio-cultural, human-relational and landscape-monumental aspects;
- To live a meaningful and personally enriching experience; and
- Gaining greater awareness about one's strengths and limitations
- Foster a sense of critical thinking and observation
- To arouse curiosity and interest
- -Increasing the sense of belonging to the class group
