On Friday, April 21, 2017, students from classes 3^A Computer Science, 4^A Computer Science, 5^A Computer Science, 4^A Tourism and 5^A Tourism of S. Freud Private School will take part to the postgraduate orientation event "Salone dello Studente" organized at the "City of Lombardy" Square, headquarters of the Region.
For third and fourth grades, only students not involved in internship activities outside the School will attend the event.
The Salone dello Studente, organized by Class Editori, has been Italy's leading university orientation event for 25 years, aiming to provide students with tools to simplify their post-diploma choice.
The "Salone dello Studente - Campus Orienta" is the brainchild of Paolo Panerai as an educational and professional orientation event. The first edition of the event was held in Milan in 1990 at the Fiera Campionaria; after its success, at the explicit request of the then Minister of University and Scientific Research Antonio Ruberti, the Salone also landed in Rome, at the Palazzo dei Ricevimenti e dei Congressi. From this moment on, the Salone spread throughout the entire peninsula.
It has been a long journey on the road to knowledge that has seen the participation of universities, post-diploma schools, Italian and foreign academies, institutions and companies and that has involved, in its 25 years of existence, more than three million young people covering the entire national territory.
Goals:
- deepen the initiation of the new training paths offered by the School-to-Work Alternation, and subsequent job placement prospects;
- facilitate and enrich the transition from the world of education to the world of profession;
- measure themselves against their own aptitudes, skills and language competencies at the Cambridge English booth;
- consider international studies through the presence of foreign universities and Erasmus Student Network;
- take a mock admission test of restricted faculties;
- meet with a pool of professional counselors for individual or group interviews aimed at discovering one's aptitudes.
Objectives:
- to provide young people with a rich scenario of opportunities to build their academic and/or professional future through an informed choice, being able to evaluate the educational offerings available in Italy and abroad;
- allow all components of the school world (students, families, teachers, managers, institutions) to meet and address the issues of orientation and the future of young people.
