On Thursday December the 1st 2016 the students of the 4^ A IT and 4^ Tourism classrooms will visit the Regional Council based in Milan, via Fabio Filzi 22 from 10.30 a.m to 12.30 a.m..
This initiative is included in the School Work Alternation Project dedicated to the Technical Economics Tourism and the Technical Technological IT cycles of studies.
The Regional Council will be welcoming the students in their headquarters. The students will have the chance to see how the Council Staff perform their activities and they will also meet the regional councillors.
A vist of the Memorial Floor (26th) is also scheduled as well as the visit of the Regional Commissions while they are performing their duties.
The Regional Council of Lombardy aims at approaching the young people to the institutions through some training activities that enable them to arize their awareness about the values, the rights, the duties that are the foundations of the Republican Constitution and the Autonomous Regional Statute. The Regional Board of Education of Lombardy signed a deal in 2009 aiming at offering training opportunities to meet the different needs of the education sector.
The students and their teachers are welcome at the headquarters of the Regional Council of Lombardy. They will be allowed to see how they work, the formulation of laws and they will spend one day as Regional Councillors.
The Regional Council's President Raffaele Cattaneo states “we'd like to see the growing of the democratic awareness in the young generations since democracy is based on participation and it depends on us all and the Regional Council is the "home" of all the people of Lombardy, without exception. The Regional Council will welcome the students in their headquarters at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan according to the different age groups. The children from the primary, the junior high and the secondary school will learn how the activities are performed. It is a free opportunity for the schools of Lombardy that is included in the subject "Citizenship and Constitution".
AIMS
This projects aims at implementing the tie between the schools and the labour market through the support of the territorial Institutions. The purpose is teaching the students the importance of the civic responsbility. So we hope this opportunity will enable them to approach a sector of the public admnistation which is often perceived as a distant, absent reality by showing all the facets of a complex Body.
OBJECTIVES
• Offering the students a learning opportunity that is related to the contents of their curriculum.
• Showing the Council's activities, the formulation of laws and the typical day of a Council Representative.
• Spreading the idea that demcracy is based on participation.
