On April 19, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., all students of the fourth classes A-B and C of the Human Sciences High School option Socioeconomics will take part in the Orientation course “PROFESSIONAL BRANDING: THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL PROFILE,” according to the implementation criteria of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The meeting will take place at the LIBERA UNIVERSITÀ DI LINGUE E COMUNICAZIONE IULM Via Carlo Bo, 1 MILANO.
PNRR ORIENTATION PATHWAYS
PNRR orientation pathways can cover different themes and include active, participatory and laboratory disciplinary teaching experiences. Pathway proposals are of three types:
- comprehensive pathways dedicated to choice orientation;
- composite pathways: choice orientation modules + disciplinary modules;
- fully disciplinary pathways.
COURSE CONTENT
The curriculum vitae (CV) is a crucial tool in the search for a job opportunity. It is more than just a list of past experience and qualifications gained; it is a business card that offers a snapshot of professional history, skills and aspirations. This is why the CV is of paramount importance at different stages of the career path. In fact, the CV is often the first contact an employer has with a candidate: a thorough, clear, and well-organized presentation can immediately capture attention and generate interest. A candidate's presentation through the CV reflects attention to detail, communication skills, and dedication to the career path: a polished CV conveys a positive and professional image. The training meeting will be divided into 3 parts:
- Compilation of the Curriculum Vitae: face-to-face lectures by Dr. Mattia Rappa, University Career Service, who will take students through the discovery of the CV, drafting techniques and communication strategies during the job interview;
- Workshop on personal Curriculum Vitae writing: Dr. Mattia Rappa will take students through the compilation of a personal CV;
- Job interview simulation: Dr. Mattia Rappa, to complete the training course, will simulate, with some volunteers, a job interview, highlighting and showcasing, behind his analysis, the most frequent mistakes and aspects not to be overlooked during a job interview.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
- Learn about the context of higher education and its value in a knowledge society and become informed about the various educational offerings as opportunities for personal growth and the realization of sustainable and inclusive societies;
- To experience active, participatory and laboratory-based disciplinary teaching, guided by the learning methodology of the scientific method;
- self-assess, verify and consolidate their knowledge in order to reduce the gap between the knowledge they already possess and the knowledge required for the course of study of interest;
- consolidate reflective and transversal skills for the construction of their own educational and professional development project;
- learn about job sectors, possible employment outlets, future sustainable and inclusive jobs and the link between these and the knowledge and skills acquired;
- -raise awareness toward the scope of PCTO (formerly Alternanza Scuola Lavoro) and Exit Orientation pathways.
