On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 11 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m., the classes 3^ A, 3^ B, 4^ A, 4^ B of the Tourism address; 3^ A, 3^ B, 3^ C, 4^ A, 4^ B, 4^ C of the ICT address; 3^ A, 3^ B, 4^ A, 4^ B, 5^ A of the Human Sciences High School address of the S. Freud, participated in the online meeting " Dante and us - Reading the Divine Comedy in 2021," organized by the Corriere della Sera Foundation.
CONTENTS
On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death and two days away from Dante Tuesday, the world day designated to celebrate the figure of the supreme poet, the event was an opportunity to argue about the author from different perspectives: Dante the father of the Italian language was discussed and, at the same time, also Dante the pop icon, without forgetting to dwell on his topicality. It was discussed by Giuseppe Antonelli, professor of History of the Italian Language at the University of Pavia; Alberto Casadei, professor of Italian Literature at the University of Pisa and coordinator of the Dante Group of the Association of Italianists; Luca Serianni, emeritus of History of the Italian Language at the Sapienza University of Rome and vice president of the Dante Alighieri Society; and Paolo Di Stefano, correspondent of Corriere della Sera.
THE SOCIETY.
The Corriere della Sera Foundation was established in 2001 with the aim of preserving and enhancing the historical and cultural heritage of the daily newspaper of via Solferino; after seven years of activity, in May 2008, it expanded its mandate, receiving in management also the archives of all the newspapers and publishing houses of the RCS group. The Foundation is inspired by the free exchange of ideas and the confrontation of different points of view, with the intention of building a culture of democracy and dialogue while respecting the responsibility associated with the conscious use of information tools.
Consistent with these guidelines, the activities of the Corriere della Sera Foundation take the form of an intense proposal of conferences and meetings of a cultural nature.
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
- Deepen knowledge in the historical-humanistic area of Italian Language and Literature;
- To develop cross-curricular skills on the topics of Civic Education, Culture and Current Affairs.
