On Thursday the 27th of October 2016 the students belonging to the classrooms 4^ A and 5^ A of the Technical Economics Tourism cycle of studies will take part in the a lectio magistralis about “Marketing & Tourism” within the School Work Alternation Project, it will be held by the Managing Director of Sodexo Italy at the school's premises from 10.00 a.m to 12.00 a.m..

Sergio Satriano is currently the Managing Director of Sodexo Italia and the Marketing Director too.
The lectio magistralis will be focused on the contents of Marketing related to the theory but also related to the tourist field through the presentation of practical cases and real situations the Marketing operators very often must face in Italy and abroad.
This lectio magistralis is putting the Freud School and Sodexo (partner of the school/work alternation project) together in order to offer the students a different approach and teach them to face the most relevant issues from a practical point of view. The implementation of practical approaches through some guided role playing activites will be also supervised by the DTA teacher Ferrandino and the teacher of law and economcs Tomasi, both involved with managing the School/Work Alternation Project for the Tourist field.
The students of the 4^ grade will have the possibility to experience a simulated company by facing some real situations
The students of the 5^ grade will have the possibility to challenge themselves and self-evaluate their skills, so to better understand a specific professional field or gathering more information about the related universities (teacher Ferro, in charge with the after.school orientation policies will also be present). The practical cases analyzed on the I role playing activities can also be used as topics for the students' final exam's thesis.
USED TOOLS AND METHODS:
- PowerPoint Presentations (slides) provided by the expert and shown on the LIM.
- Frontal lecture and role playing.
- Digital tools (computer, tablet and so on) to carry out their work for the ones who alread have them.
This lectio magistralis “Marketing and Tourism” aims at:
Helping the students to better understand the topics related to the DTA subjects and the tourist Legislation, these topics will be analysed in other languages as well in order to comply with the Curriculum.
Enabling the students to deal with a field expert through the right vocabulary, the contents, the tools and the interactive modes that feature the different working environments.
Inproving the students' problem solving skills from the theoretical and the logistic point of view.
Enabling the student to assess their own skills.
Offering the students the chance to speak English – the official language of Marketing – in a context that simulates the professional environment.
Motivating the students to develop a proactive approach towards the subject they are studying in order to become active protagonists.
Motivating the students to work in team.
