On January 16, 2021, the Giornale di Vicenza published an interview with Dr. Nappo, Legal Representative of the S. Freud Institute in Milan, who strongly reiterates the importance of in-presence teaching, which cannot be replaced in any way by distance education (DAD).
Pupils are experiencing a moment of loss and have the right to be able to resume teaching in presence, also because of the important educational role that the School must fulfill.
If the School does not work, the society does not work, argues the Legal Representative of the Institute, which has computer science, tourism and humanities addresses.

Freud Milan director, bewildered by total school chaos
'Expected 400,000 high school students in Lombardy, instead it's Dad'
(ANSA) - MILAN, JANUARY 16 - We are bewildered in the face of overlapping and intersecting national and regional regulations; families and students are experiencing total chaos in schooling, the context embraced is general uncertainty.
So says the director of Milan's Freud High School, Daniele Nappo, speaking of the school situation 48 hours after the implementation of the new regulations.
Lombardy had been the first region, last December 18, to communicate that students would return to school in a gradual way, a percentage of 50 percent in attendance had been agreed upon, with the goal of progressively reaching 75 percent, explained the director asked by ANSA.
Based on the data, shared with the Lombardy Scientific Technical Committee, Lombardy made the choice to continue classes for secondary schools with 100 percent distance learning. Now, however, a new stop.
On Monday, about 400,000 Lombard students will not return to class, including state and private high schools," Nappo stressed. "There is isolation, disorganization and continuous indecision, we are abandoned, we need respect for the future of the new generations, if the school does not work, society does not work.
Right now on the school, there is a real paralysis, we need courage; students must be able to return to the classroom for their physical and psychophysical health.
The school is not the country's anointress, so many studies say, such as that of the Bambin Gesù in Rome.
DD can never replace face-to-face teaching.
The point is educational, not medical. Stop using school as a political battleground.
