On Tuesday the 17th of May 2016, the first and the second year's students of the Technical Economics Tourism and the Technical Technological IT fields of study took part in the men's and women's basketball tournament at the sports centre Lido di Milano, Piazzale Lotto 15.
This initiative is part of the Students' Sports Games, everyone was excited especially when the players of the serie A team Olimpia Milano showed up, the students could take some selfies with them!
Giovanni, 1st Grade,- IT field of study, said.
“On May the 17th we took part in the basket tounament. We were split into four teams, two girls teams and two boys teams; the tournament took place at Lido di Milano.
The girls played first, they unfortunately lost. Our first match was vs the Molinary School. After the first match the tournament stopped since the basketball players of the Milan Olimpia team arrived. They were all there: from the coach to the athletic trainer. We took some photos with the team captain, Alessandro Gentile and with other players like Sanders, Jenkins and Simon.
Then the tournament started again but we didn't win the following matches.
I had a great time although we didn't win. I want to say thanks to the teacher Giaimo and the School for taking us to the tournament and I hope they will do it again next year!!”.
