On Nov. 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., all students in the first, second, third, fourth and fifth classes of the Computer Technology Technical, Tourism Economic Technical and Human Sciences High School addresses will participate in the live event Legality - Fighting the Mafia.
CONTENT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
This is a live streaming conversation with Senator Pietro Grasso, judge of the maxiprocesso a Cosa Nostra, chief prosecutor of Palermo and national anti-mafia prosecutor. It is scheduled to be attended by Raphael Rossi, an expert in waste management public companies commissioned for organized crime, and special guest appearance by Salvo Ficarra.
Pietro Grasso entered the judiciary in 1969. He was a deputy judge in the first maxiprocesso a Cosa Nostra and chief prosecutor in Palermo. From October 2005 to January 2013 he was national anti-mafia prosecutor. He later served as president of the Senate and as senator
Former national anti-Mafia prosecutor Pietro Grasso will address students on the many aspects of the mafia phenomenon, drawing on his long experience fighting organized crime gained alongside judges Falcone and Borsellino.
He has published numerous books including, with Feltrinelli: Stories of Blood, Friends and Ghosts. Memories of the Mafia (2017), Paolo Borsellino Speaks to the Boys (2020), My Friend Giovanni (2022, written with Alessio Pasquini).
