We are proud to announce that for the s.y. 2023-2024, S. Freud School has organized a language internship in the United States with destination in the cities of New York, Boston and Washington DC for two weeks in the summer period between June 18 and July 2, 2024.
We would like to remind all families and students that study trips to the United States are the flagship of Our School because of their strong experiential and socialization value, as well as the important formative value with regard to the acquisition of English language and cultural skills in an immersive context.
The stay has the formula of overnight stay in the prestigious college of St. John's University in the city of New York and excursions to the cities of Boston and Washington DC with overnight stay in the hotel, intensive English language course with inclusion of afternoon activities every day and various excursions for sightseeing.

NEW YORK.
Nicknamed the Big Apple, New York is the quintessential cosmopolitan metropolis that remains one of the world's most desirable tourist destinations. New York brings together the best of art, design, architecture and music from around the world. A place of dreams and an emblem of the “new world,” New York is the symbol of overseas travel, of different cultures and styles that meet every day in its hectic and extremely rich everyday life. New York is the cultural capital of the world. Its five boroughs-Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens-host hundreds of performing and fine arts organizations, gardens, zoos, and historic sites, from internationally famous institutions to little-known but no less valuable ones.
Among the world's best-known museums, it is worth mentioning the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMa , the American Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of Modern Art, as well as iconic sites such as Central Park, Times Square, Ellis Island, and the Empire State Building.
BOSTON
New England's economic and cultural center, the cradle of American culture, home to important libraries but above all to two of the world's most prestigious universities, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), and Harvard University. The city is also home to the largest academic center for scientific and technological research in the world. It is a city open to the future and the contemporary that combines aspects of modern life with memories of a past rich in history and is also considered one of the most “European” cities in the United States. The heart of tourist destinations is the 'Freedom Trail,' an extraordinary trail, which allows visitors to visit all the major points of interest in the city.
WASHINGTON DC
Washington D.C. is the federal capital of the United States, the seat of the organs of power and one of the most recognizable cities in the world with its iconic monuments and memorials, parade avenues and functional buildings. Beyond its institutional air, the capital offers much to see and do, amidst the white marble of neoclassical monuments, the bright green of parks, and the majestic contours of the ceremonial sites of American politics-one among them, that of the Capitol Dome.
THE COLLEGE
St. John's University is a prestigious American university with several campuses. The one that will host our students is located in the famous borough of Queens, New York City, about 35 minutes by subway from Manhattan. The subway station is, in fact, about 10 minutes away by bus, the bus stop of which is located just outside the campus. The campus, surrounded by greenery, has numerous common areas, a beautiful barbecue area, two movie theaters and a store. A Starbucks is also located inside. Our students will stay in apartments consisting of air-conditioned double and triple rooms with two shared bathrooms and a sitting room. Towels are provided by the college. Each apartment is, in addition, equipped with a small kitchen with a mini-fridge, a microwave oven and a small living room..
OBJECTIVES
- Learning a foreign language in countries where it is a native language in an immersive context
- Integrating curricular school activities together with a confrontation with the outside world, regarding socio-cultural, human-relational and landscape-monumental aspects;

- Getting to know a historical and cultural reality, different from Our Country

- Increasing the sense of belonging to the class group
