We are pleased to announce that for s.y. 2023-2024, S. Freud School is organizing a language internship in the city of Valencia (Spain) for two weeks from June 9 to June 22, 2024. The stay has the formula of overnight stay in a modern university residence, intensive Spanish language course - 20 lessons per week - lasting 55 minutes with the inclusion of one afternoon activity per day and various excursions for sightseeing.
THE DESTINATION
Valencia is the third-largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona: it fears no comparison with its two big sisters in terms of vitality, cultural ferment and traditions. It is a carefree, relaxed and cultured city. Valencia is a city kissed by an exceptional climate thanks to its favorable location along the east coast, which also makes it a city full of attractions for tourists. The quaint and atmospheric Old Town contrasts with the futuristic City of Arts and Science designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, a native of Valencia. His innovative yet controversial works, as well as his unmistakable style, have certainly helped bring Valencia back to international prominence. The city's fame outside of Spain is also due to paella the quintessential Spanish dish, which originated in Valencia. Between fascinating cultural visits and exciting walks in ultra-modern neighborhoods, in Valencia you can best combine culture, relaxation and fun.
THE SCHOOL.
Our students will stay at "Galileo Galilei," a modern university residence hall, just a 10-minute walk from the school and a 15-minute walk from the beach. It is located on Valencia's most important campuses, the Polytechnic University and the Tarongers Campus of the University of Valencia. Facilities at the university residence include the presence of gymnasium, study rooms, dining hall, medical office, laundry and other services.
