EDUCATIONAL TRIP "ILIAD" - FIRST CLASSES ICT AND TOURISM

13 gennaio 2018

On Thursday, January 11, 2018 and Friday, January 12, 2018, all the first classes of the Computer Technology Technical and Tourism Economic Technical address took part in the viewing of the play "ILIADE" by the company of Corrado d'Elia, at the Teatro Litta, located in Milan at Corso Magenta, 24.

CONTENTS

"The Iliad is one of the pillars of Western literature. In its verses are enclosed together the archetype and paradigm of our feeling, the foundations of our culture. It is the origin, the model, the coinage from which we still move to tell and imagine our passions and our history.

It is the courage of words, their truest, purest meaning, the weight of the logos in the face of the loss of meaning that every day tells our time.  It is the place of the soul where every word becomes an argument and every verse a story, the ancient becoming contemporary, the ancestral embodied in the new time.

It is the revealed consciousness of silence. Thus, it is not only the chronicle of the first great war we know of, but its extraordinary journey of humanity and contemporaneity. To listen to Iliad before a modern storyteller, a new aedo, is to retrace that thread that connects myth, epic, narrative and present. The feelings of human beings are timeless. And the love and hatred that Homer sang, the deeds of great men, their passions, are the same as today with the same disruptive power and their being absolute feelings. The humanity of myth then, with which even today each of us is imbued to the core.

From there in fact we all come.

That is why we feel the urgency to tell this extraordinary story.

To unite in a rite as old as time and answer the question that has always moved us: what is Troy ultimately to us?"

PURPOSE

The student was guided in an approach to the Homeric text aimed at enhancing its relevance-a relevance that never fails-despite the distance in time. What for new generations is a world now lost, seemingly senseless and unconnected to reality, has been revealed for what it is instead, since Homer's time: the alpha of a way of seeing life that has then imprinted itself on the centuries and cultures to come, albeit with different modulations.

The student, then, brought closer to the ancestral world of the heroes, especially through the mediation of the stage, was led to grasp its more human aspects, so much so that he was then able to resent them through a reflection that was no longer only critical, but empathetic with the literary text proposed in class.

The viewing of the play laid the foundation for a broader conceptual implementation, in synergy with history and geography in particular, to problematize the pedagogical aspect assumed by the Homeric heroes and the foundation of an early moral system in Western culture.

OBJECTIVES

Specific objectives are identified as:

  • Mediated and facilitated approach to the Homeric poem.
  • Initiation of the Project Area (for class 1^A tourism).
  • Stimulation of empathy through theatrical proxemics.
  • Immersion of the student with the "human type" of the Greek epic.
  • Awareness-raising on the topicality and modernity of the literary work.
  • Awareness on the actuality and modernity of the Homeric hero's own "feeling".
  • Comparison of the values proper to different eras and civilizations.
  • Guided reflection on the drama of war
