EDUCATIONAL MEETING– CYBER SECURITY

On Thursday , March 23 and Friday, March 24, 2023, all students in the third, fourth and fifth classes of the Information Technology Technical address will participate in a training meeting on Cyber Security topics held in the presence of Dr. Simone Scanavini.

The meeting will be held at the school premises, from 12:00 to 13:30 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the school premises at Viale Fulvio Testi No. 7.

MEETING CONTENTS AND THE SPEAKER

The meeting will focus on the importance of Cyber Security. The speaker - Dr. Simone Scanavini - is an expert in Cybersecurity. During his career he has held positions inherent toInternet Service Provider with various experiences in networking and cybersecurity in Vodafone, Wind 3 and Fastweb. He currently works in EssilorLuxottica in Milan where he is in charge of IT Security Architecture and is leader of the Red Team and Automation Team. He is also a certified Cisco CCNA and CCNP instructor teaching telecommunications networking courses at the Cisco Networking Academy eForHum in Milan.

The meeting will focus on presenting the fundamental topics concerning Cyber Security with anillustration of typical threats to various information systems. Real scenarios of attacks on systems and preventive measures to defend them will be presented. Since this is an educational and outbound orientation meeting for the fifth grade, possible job outlets and academic careers related to the field of Cyber Security will also be presented .

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

• To convey to students the cognitive elements of Cybersecurity that define a cyberattack;
• To provide the tools necessary to handle potentially problematic and dangerous cyber attack situations in the area of Cyber Security;
• To develop critical awareness of an increasingly recurring and current issue in our society in the area of Cybersecurity.
