Today, the 29th of May all the students of the classrooms 1^ B, 1^ C, 2^ B and 3^ B belonging to the Technical Technological IT cycle of studies have taken part in the conference “The values of sport” with Daniele Padelli, then goalkeeper of the Inter Club.
Promoting the sport means feeling better, from the physical and the moral point of view, it means feeling good as individuals and getting on with the others. It is a good way to build up a balanced identity so the sport activities can improve the quality of our life as individuals and within the society.
Sport is a right for all citizens, it keeps the value of loyalty and fair-play; winning and losing is part of our life so we must learn to win without being arrogant and lose without any hard feelings; in our present society sport should spread a culture of peace, make the people come together and promote a good communication betwen the nations.
If you do sport you can improve you body functions, you can build fair relationships with your opponents and you can also learn to respect the surrounding environment.
Then discipline is one of the basic values related to sport since you must regularly train, you must lead a regular life and have healthy habits thus avoiding all kinds of extreme activities.
This is an important growing factor: you get used to dealing with your body, balancing your instinct and your personality, you learn to be committed. Through the sport you can make new friends since you cooperate within your team aiming at reaching the same goal. Very often the young peole who play in a team make new friends that last for long since they match each-other personality, interests and they have fun together.
Friendship also include the opponents since the are not only there to be defeated but they offer us useful stuimuli, they are like travel mates.
The coach and the athletes aim at improving their abilities and enhancing their potential so all details are analyzed to help the team to give its best.
Besides the support of the family and the school sport is very important too, you must learn what you can do and what you can't do, you know the principles of sports, you learn the rules and respect them. It can rally become a metaphore of life that enables us to build up a frame of values that are useful to make good choices in our life.
