On Friday 22 April the legal representative of the Paritaria School S. Freud, dr. Daniele Nappo, publishes his reflections on the growth of adolescents in the column "Piazza Lombardia" in the national newspaper "Il Giorno". The knowledge acquired during school must be useful for life, teachers have the task of conveying knowledge to learners in a captivating way to ensure that learners have expendable and measurable skills.

“The school should be considered a" school of the local community "called to respond, in practice, to the demand for formation first of all human and then cultural and relational of each individual student. Knowledge is used for life and is transformed into skills which, as such, never concern a single discipline. Therefore a coalition is needed, an integration between all the components of the teaching staff. To the school, society assigns the task and function of promoting culture, understood as the general and multi-perspective growth of the person. However, we need a living culture that acts and stimulates taste and passion in girls and boys. School, again, represents, by its very nature, an incredible engine of social cohesion. It is necessary to eliminate the tendency, widespread among teachers, to take care only of their own disciplinary space in order to broaden their cultural horizons and their interests, supporting all the actors who are involved in various capacities in the education and training of young people. Each generation aims to change the society created by those who preceded it; notionism only has the effect of separating children from the educational process and, even more deleterious, it extinguishes in them the desire to learn for the sole purpose of learning and improving themselves. An appropriate education must ensure that the student finds his identity, accepts it and improves it day by day.

The social appreciation of teachers is based on their ability to produce enthusiastic young people, capable of fighting boredom because they are animated by ideals capable of making humanity grow. The student is aware of his identity on the use of the absolute protagonist of his learning and the author of culture himself. The identity of a subject is not defined in the abstract but in the tangible nature of his action, activating cultural, individual and collective enterprise paths. The work and activities that are offered to children must be rich in content for the achievement of expendable, ascertainable and also measurable "skills" (...) The school must help young people to invent and cultivate new dreams, with the right inclusiveness : it has the task of being a device of equality, of active citizenship that everyone has the right to use. The aim of the school is to have citizens able to think for themselves. "
