On Friday 6 May 2022, Dr. Daniele Nappo, director of the S. Freud Private School, publishes his reflections on the use of twitter in modern times in the national newspaper "Il Giorno". This tool, in fact, can be used in a profitable, innovative and interesting way, becoming part of the new innovations of the modern and digital 2.0 school.
“Musk buys Twitter the offer is worth about 44 billion dollars; the news affects everyone, it affects the society in which we live. Social media are a communication tool, it all depends on how they are used: with Twitter you can experience a more direct contact with a new way to share what the school offers. Twitter, for a teacher, is important to collaborate with other teachers, but also with students, parents, directors and so on. Sharing press releases, ideas, and solutions to problems can travel fast. It's a great way to keep up to date on a regular basis and keep up with the latest news from the school. A precious resource that wasn't there before: following an official hashtag and many people who comment live with photos, audio or video. It can also be used to remind students of the topics of a lesson, to implement new study materials or to receive direct with a new way to share what the school offers. A precious resource that wasn't there before: following an official hashtag and many people who comment live with photos, audio or video. It can also be used to remind students of lesson topics, to implement new study materials or to receive questions; it is sufficient to find a hashtag for each class and the messages will always be there and without any need for too complicated platforms. Connecting articles, images and videos to tweets is easy and intuitive. Twitter not only to talk about school, but also to cultivate other interests you have; you can tell what excites, what makes you angry rather than smile so as to be in contact with special people you did not know before. If you build a class or school account, it can be an efficient way to publish students' work on the Net, but also to find other schools that want to interact, share projects. The potential is really huge, even if in Italy there is still no creation of a unique hashtag that conveys all the discussions concerning the school. In America hashtags have been very popular for some time and used by millions of users. If everyone used the same hashtag, you could easily find what interests you; you could launch a hashtag # scuoladigitale2.0 and continuously implement it: making it the most popular hashtag would mean that students and teachers are united in sharing culture. Digital citizenship should be promoted and it can be done using Twitter."
