On Friday, 10 June 2022, the national daily newspaper 'Il Giorno' published a reflection by Dr. Daniele Nappo, legal representative of the Private School S. Freud in Milan, on the usefulness of having a double degree. In an increasingly cosmopolitan world, one must network and be competent. A double-degree, or, double degree, makes it possible to attain adequate educational competences to achieve ambitious goals.
"Being young today is particularly interesting: the world is open, close, technologies allow teenagers to connect with peers all over the globe. These opportunities create increasingly competitive environments, and normal schooling, even serious schooling of unquestionable importance, is less and less able to provide the skills, the abilities, needed to make the most of the education available for the future. Parents can provide children with the stimuli to involve them in areas that help them develop their own identity and personality, activities and experiences that become fundamental in educational development paths. Among these, international studies are wide-ranging, providing the opportunity primarily to master the English language and to approach a multidisciplinary and cosmopolitan culture and learning methodology. The skills one acquires are of significant value: for example, the curriculum is flexible in macro areas and with a specific focus on scientific subjects that are up-to-date with the current demands of the labour market. There are now more than 4,000 international schools in the world with more than a million students. How come? Because they broaden horizons by allowing students to interact with a universe that goes beyond the classroom. Along these lines, the S. Freud parish school will from next year open its doors to international diploma courses with a project conceived and designed to meet the needs of young people. An agreement has been signed with the Nisai Global School to offer a double high school diploma programme that will allow students to obtain both an Italian and an English qualification, the Cambridge A-Level. The Cambridge International Diploma (High school) is recognised everywhere and opens the door to a future university career anywhere: it can be taken at the same time as an Italian A-Level High School Diploma, in presence and at a distance, through a virtual structure that combines the best High School standards with an innovative and flexible method. Students will attend two schools at the same time."
