29 ottobre 2021
On 29 October 2021, the newspaper "Il Giorno", in the usual Friday appointment, dedicates the "Youth and Education" section to the article written by the Legal Representative of the S. Freud School of Milan, Dr. Daniele Nappo.
In the article, entitled "Our ideas for a revolutionary school", Dr. Nappo describes in a few salient words the new paradigm of inclusive school, which the Institute directed by him adheres to, with addresses in Information Technology, Tourism and Human Sciences .
At the center of the whole learning process is the pupil, who must experience school in a serene and conscious way.
The reflections, theorized synthetically in the article, are contained and discussed in the book published by Giunti Edu "A school for everyone, a school for everyone", written by Dr. Nappo together with the psychologist Dr. Aceto.
The book is available in bookstores and on the main online channels (from Mondadori Store, to Amazon to Libraccio.it).
OUR IDEAS FOR A REVOLUTIONARY SCHOOL
A different school where everyone is considered in his subjectivity as a resource to be valued, as a person with his qualities but also with the weaknesses and frailties that, in the current educational and working model, are forgotten in the name of competitiveness and hyper- productivity.
In this sense, the book "A school for everyone, a school for everyone", subtitled "A new look attentive to the well-being of every student", is counter-current and alternative, if not revolutionary.
A book that I wrote in collaboration with the psychologist and cognitive behavioral psychotherapist Naomi Aceto. The volume (pp. 223, 18 euros) published by Giunti Edu, is available in bookstores and on the main online channels (from Mondadori Store, to Amazon to Libraccio.it).
The focus is on adolescence, the most difficult phase of transition to adulthood, and on problems on a personal level and with institutions: the educational and family context and the school one, bullying, separations, bereavement, self-harm , the school phobia. The mix of difficulties that girls and boys often face. And almost always alone. And it is here that the school - according to our thesis - must change step: understand young people, really understand their emotions, give answers such as educational dialogue and persuasive teaching that aims at participation and inclusiveness. And much more: for example, going to school without going to school, that is, living new cognitive and social experiences or organizing a school centered on the student and not merely on the grade.
At the center of all serene and conscious learning, feeling good with oneself and fellow students, a relationship of sharing and co-responsibility with teachers and parents.
