DSE – DIGITAL SPORT AND ENGLISH – INTEGRATED MODEL
It’s a teaching approach that focuses on the integrated learning of disciplinary contents in English concerning sport practices.
In this way, there is a perfect mixture of contents and integrated learning.
It’s not a simple English lesson, but the teaching of a school-subject, such as P.E. in a foreign language. There are a lot of advantages and opportunities by adopting this integrated teaching strategy, students can play an important role within a modern educational system in accordance to the European Community.
This learning method is not only addressed to the achievement of language skills by teaching a precise school-subject, but it’s a vehicle to develop soft skills, such as cooperation, the growth of creative and critical thinking, sense of civic duty, the promotion of the learning process in an “immersive” experience with sports activities.
Therefore, the professional background of our teachers is very important and concerns their language skills and their different approaches in teaching. A well-defined series of principles and ideas is constantly applied to the planning of this project. The final purpose consists in the personal development of our students from a synergetic and cooperative point of view, so that their potential can be fully enhanced.
