The school represents a limited micro-cosmos where the students- in their five year career of study- become aware of ideas, opinions, habits and behaviours that can shape their development, their role and their contribution to social life, when they are adults.
Therefore, the cooperation between the healthcare world and the educational background represents an important element to enhance the development of actions that stimulate in thr the students attitudes of awareness and prevention on topics concerning healthcare and psychophysical wellbeing.
The Project “Healthcare and Wellbeing” promoted by Istituto “S. Freud” has the objective to make aware and to give some information to our students about important topics concerning the personal development, such as healthy diet, physical exercise, imentazione sana, movimento fisico, sexuality and sexually-transmitted diseases, prevention and control, negative effects of alcohool, of psychotropic substances and of smoking, other addictions –for example gambling-, safe driving, security in the working and gome environment.
In addition to this, an information campaign on genetic diseases ( and not only) belongs to this project. Its aim consists in a more conscious and pervasive knowledge of pathologies not always known.
At the same time, the National and International Health Organizations identify the school as an institution that plays an important communicative role with young people concerning the information on wellbeing, on healty lifestyles an on correct health behaviours.
As a matter of fact, young people spend most of their time at school and in particular the years at secondary school must be "supervised" because it is easy that students develop risk behaviours or deviant attitudes. What the school institution sees in its students is only a consequent result of values and familiar behaviours, habits that are rooted in the culture and in the education of its origins.
This triangle (family-student-school), where the young person is at the center of an intersected system of behavioural models and several thoughts makes possible the development of major chances of “educating to the wellbeing and to the maintenance of a global health condition" and to the practice of correct lifestyles.
ISTITUTO PARITARIO “S, FREUD”: THE SCHOOL THAT PROMOTES THE WELLBEING AND THE PSYCHOPHYSICAL HEALTH OF ITS STUDENTS
In a school that promes healthcare and wellbeing, the teachers and the school environment play a key-role, such as reference models and examples for the students and their families, by encouraging and involving them to the achievement of objectives addressed to the healthcare and its prevention.
The primary objective of the Project “Healthcare and Wellbeing ” consists in sharing the difficulties and make experience - together with healthcare professionals, parents and teachers- of more efficient strategies of communication to improve the social bonds as the main come principali protection factors concerning healthcare and the prevention from addictions.

The following objectives can be acquired by modifying- when possible- the school organization from the perspective of the Healthcare Promotion.
