In the s.y. 2014-2015, the Travel Commission of the S. Freud Private School organized a week-long Language Internship in Chester, a renowned town in the northwest of England, from April 12 to 19, 2015, for its students of the Economic Tourism and Information Technology Technician addresses.
The students took the intensive course of classes at the "English in Chester" School, a historic institution for the teaching of English L2 accredited in the TEN team "The English Network" , which includes only institutions formally recognized for the quality of teaching and services provided.
The overnight homestay was organized on a full board basis (paked lunch + dinner).
Below is the report of the Accompanying Teacher Anna Maria Algieri.
" I can only say very positive words about the experience in Chester.
The "English in Chester" School stood out for its professionalism, organization and quality of teaching. The students, divided into groups according to their level of language proficiency, worked intensively and participated in the lessons and afternoon cultural - play activities organized during the week. In my opinion and that of the students themselves, a lot was learned in a dynamic and fun way.
The host families were all delightful, helpful and considerate of our students. They really made them feel like members of their "home life." The homes were also all pleasant, well-maintained and clean.
Wonderful was the half-day outing to Liverpool...but dreamy was the Saturday visit to Conwy Castle in Wales. The boys were ecstatic about the visit to this stone fortress, built in 1283 at the behest of Edward I Of England, which stands with its eight towers over the Irish Sea Bay!
Another highlight was the choice of the town of Chester. Its cultural and architectural history dating back to ancient Rome fascinated all our students, and its small size (population 77,000) made the boys feel they were in a safe, collected and easily walkable urban reality.
The kids got along well, formed a good, close-knit group. And even with us chaperones, there was no shortage of fun times.
I thank the School for this wonderful opportunity that met everyone's expectations in all respects."
