On Tuesday, January 13, 2015, all three-year students of the Technical Economic Tourism address of the S. Freud Private School will participate in a visit to the exhibition on Van Gogh - Man and Earth - at Palazzo Reale, Piazza del Duomo 12, Milan.
The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture was produced and organized by the Royal Palace of Milan, Arthemisia Group and 24 ORE Cultura - Gruppo 24 ORE.
The central corpus of the exhibition consists, as in the 1952 exhibition, of works from the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, to which are added works from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Museo Soumaya-Fundación Carlos Slim in Mexico City, the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, and normally inaccessible private collections: a unique opportunity to explore, through the eyes of the artist, the complex relationship between human beings and the nature that surrounds them.
Among the masterpieces granted by the Kröller-Müller Museum to the Milan exhibition are The Self-Portrait of 1887, Portrait of Joseph Roulin of 1889, View of Saintes Marie de la Mer of 1888, Fisherman's Head of 1883, and Burner of Stubble, sitting in a wheelbarrow with his wife of 1883.
