11 febbraio 2022
On Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, all classes at Our School participated in the live streaming of "Darwin Day," sponsored by the Museum of Natural History and Milan and the City of Milan.
CONTENT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
The planetary-scale climate changes currently taking place are largely attributable to the actions of human beings and show macroscopic effects in extreme climatic situations. Scientific evidence reveals, in fact, how glaciers are retreating rapidly with a consequent expansion of desert areas.
From an evolutionary perspective, it is inevitable to ask what the human response to the succession of such phenomena might be: on Darwin Day 2022 scholars and scientists will highlight some of their research on the real effects of these events and the impact they have on animal and plant communities, showing what the possible scenarios will be.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To make students reflect on a topic of fundamental importance such as climate change;
- To get pupils to acquire new scientific knowledge by listening to the interventions of experts on the issue addressed;
- Educating civic sense and respect for the environmental ecosystem;
- Fostering a sense of critical thinking and responsibility
