On March 15 and March 16, 2017, classes 2^A, 2^B, 3^A, 4^A, 5^A of the Information Technology Technical address and 2^A, 3^A, 4^A, 5^A of the Tourism Economic Technical address will take part in a visit to the “Real Bodies” exhibition, located at Via Privata Giovanni Ventura 15, 20134 Milan.
“Real Bodies” is a fascinating journey through our main, extraordinary wealth: the human body. Beneath the skin lies a set of complex apparatuses and related organs that, second by second, work together to keep us alive and fit. Real Bodies is a never-before-seen new exhibition, exclusive and designed only for Milan.
There are more than 350 organs and whole human bodies on display. The most educational area is the athletes' gallery where 12 whole bodies are displayed in sporting anatomical positions and immortalized in technical gestures of sports such as soccer, basketball, long jump, dance and fencing to enhance our muscular and skeletal complex.
Purpose: The purpose of this educational and scientific tour is to understand how important our bodies are, admiring them for their beauty and perfection and undergoing the fascination triggered by their harmony, simplicity and together complexity. The main purpose of the Real Bodies experience is to shed light on how important it is to respect one's own body, committing to devote as much time to it as possible through small daily attentions that can promote the prevention of the diseases that have the highest incidence in the population; constant attention and a good education on living well are fundamental to respecting this “perfect machine.”
Objectives: The teaching insights that can be derived from this exhibition are numerous. Teachers will be able to elaborate on important notions regarding science, anatomy, health and biology curricula for their students during the visit, and they will also have the opportunity to show students the concepts examined through the bodies on display. The juxtaposition of healthy and diseased organs will highlight the effects on our bodies of a wrong lifestyle. Students of all grades will gain information useful for their present and future schooling and for having a greater respect and awareness of their bodies.
At the Milan opening, in addition to admiring numerous bodies of athletes from many sports disciplines to understand how the physique adapts during motor activities, they will be able to visit new sections included especially for this stage.
“Real Bodies” represents an exceptional opportunity to discover anatomy, knowledge of the body and its needs, structure and functioning. This is all very important information because it intimately affects all of us, about which it is desirable for everyone to have a minimum of knowledge.
