EDUCATIONAL TRIP - ITALIAN FEDERATION OF TENNIS

On November 12, 2022, a number of students from the ICT, Economic Tourism Technician and Human Sciences High School addresses at S. Freud School were selected to attend the under-21 tennis match at the Allianz Cloud Arena ( former Palalido) multi-purpose sports facility in Milan.

CONTENTS

The following project named Master Intesa San Paolo NEXT GEN ATP was created by the collaboration of the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT), with the Patronage of the City of Milan and the collaboration of the Regional School Office, on the occasion of the Master Intesa San Paolo NEXT GEN ATP.

From its inception in 2017 onward, the tournament has emerged on the scene as one of the most experimental and innovative events in the world of sports, introducing a format and new technologies that have led it to win prestigious international awards, such as recognition for "Best Innovation" at the Leaders Sports Awards in 2018.

All matches are played in best of 5 short sets, where the player who first makes it to 4 games wins, with a possible tiebreak at 3-3. It was a bold decision that defied tradition, but one that from the outset has found favor with the public, thanks to the exciting and spectacular matches it has been able to give fans.

Also of great importance are: the use of Electronic Line Calling, a technology that has replaced line judges; the use of video review; and the ability to communicate between players and coaches during field changes.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.

● To increase the sense of belonging to the class group;

● Promote the values of tolerance, fairness, and mutual respect by summarizing them in the concept of fair play and sports ethics;

● Fostering the capacity for relational autonomy outside the school environment;

● fostering the culture of "COMMITMENT" a fundamental element of sports, from a formative point of view;

● foster critical and observational sense;

● arouse curiosity and interest.
