On Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, the classes: 2^ A and 2 ^ B Tourism, 2^ A and 2^ B and 2^ C Computer Science and 2^ A and 2^ B Human sciences of the S. Freud Private School will participate in the meeting broadcast live via satellite: “All against all?”-The loneliness of competition, the sharing in cooperation” in which former magistrate Gherardo Colombo and Francesca Schianchi will speak.The event will take place at THE SPACE ODEON cinema, Via S. Radegonda, 8, Milan.
“Competition and cooperation are models at the antipodes, which in turn lie on structures of society plastically represented by geometry: vertical and horizontal society. In the former, individuals are selected through competition, and a contest is created that produces winners and losers.
In the horizontal society, no one can be said to be worthless; everyone is worthy as an individual. The community progresses through the use and enhancement of diversity.
Choosing one of the two types of society in which we would like to live or not live is the challenge that starts from the early years of our lives, then unconsciously, and from the educational forms that schools consciously propose.
There is a though, though: who among us will identify with the anonymous yet essential contribution of the worker ant without glory and destined for the silence of the chronicles? And again, how exhausting will it be to give up the gloating of the self? Will we know how to accept the risk and overcome with confidence the fear of the other, remembering that the others are us? It is a race, too, but one to be conducted all for one and one for all, for equality and dignity, for the very survival of the world which, in the current verticality, runs toward an unspecified but inescapable end. Lucius Anneus Seneca said, “He who does good to another also does good to himself.” His was not just altruism, rather: it was social and functional altruism. And it could be another way to happiness and salvation.”

- To encourage comparison and debate.
- To develop critical and observational sense.
OBJECTIVES
- Grow as citizens more aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- Identify how to contribute to building the society of one's choice.
- Provide insights into how one sees others and foster social interaction.
