Dr. Daniele Nappo, Legal Representative as well as Founder of S. Freud Private School, emphasizes the fundamental role that the school, after the family, has in the cognitive development of young minds. The teacher has the role of motivating, listening, understanding, supporting and bringing out the best in each student
A society that does not think about schools and does not identify resources related to them is a society that has decided to clip its wings and live in ignorance. School is the second educational agency after the family, one of the institutional pillars that is manifesting criticality in its main task. Unfortunately, the teacher's job is often chosen as a fallback. On the contrary, those who choose to be teachers should be highly motivated and have a predisposition to welcome, listen, understand, support and bring out the best in each student. It is essential to support the school system with a multidisciplinary team made up of psychologists, sociologists, pediatricians, doctors and educators, as well as social workers. A network that gives support to teachers in their increasingly complex task. At the same time we note the growth of ignorance in the midst of the information age.A difficult phenomenon to understand. Perhaps it is "arrogance," an increasingly narcissistic culture that cannot handle even the slightest hint of diversity. We are witnessing the end of competencies (...) Even the profiling of teachers, to encourage teaching based on the model of knowledge transmission, has led to a man of the information and consumer society without tools and even more exposed to the risk of instrumental falsification of his best qualities. Instead, we need to train for a new society of knowledge and solidarity. We therefore need to commit ourselves and make ourselves representatives of a critical and transformative knowledge and action that can make schools a place of authentic human and community development, a shared moment of encounter and confrontation between different socio-economic backgrounds and cultural and anthropological realities.
