A REAL JOB?

The cape-less “Superhero” of the new digital age, an indispensable figure to enhance the growth of a business.
The Internet, the place where one click is enough to show thousands, but that I say millions of people everything we want to share.
Let's face it, our generation, that is, what is called “Generation Z” grew up with the birth of some of the Social Networks that, nowadays, run part of the system. The most famous ones are undoubtedly Instagram and Facebook, I challenge anyone to say, “I have never posted!” Impossible, we all have at least once; in those years it was like a recreation to read and/or write news on the portal.
Over time some of these platforms have evolved, proving their real power, many physical companies have decided to launch themselves on the web thus reaching new figures much faster, but was it really so easy to take this “small-big” step?
Undoubtedly, it is a correct choice, albeit flanked by a figure who knows this world very well, I am talking about the Social Media Manager. But who is this digital superhero? The main role he or she plays is to manage the official social profiles of a company, an institution, an association, an artist or a well-known person to publicize its activities or products and thus increase awareness.
It is not as simple as it seems, in fact often the phrase “if you study computer science and are a little bit geeky, it becomes child's play” is attributed, it may perhaps seem but alas it is not so, it is by no means to be classified as a pastime, it takes perseverance, dedication and commitment especially mental commitment to keep up with the features.
But why is it important to be supported by such a figure? Simple, today most people (let's especially carve out the consumer category), often have their phones in their hands to inform themselves of new news, this leads to facing the product generally without filters by talking directly with the page of interest.
Now that we've seen who the Social Media Manager is and what he or she is for, I'd say let's contract on the most important thing, which is, what does he or she actually do?
Some of the most important roles he plays include:
- Creating and launching in all respects through one's own creativity a business in the world of Digital Marketing.
- Accelerate growth in a totally organic way by increasing engagement through marketing strategies, influencer marketing, marketing campaigns, etc.
- Stimulate two factors: comparison and curiosity
- Helping to increase sales
The social media manager has a clear goal: to grow the business, so it is important that he or she is always on the ball, active in experimenting with new strategies, publishing posts, doing analysis, and structuring calendars to suit the type of work to be done.
Behind the scenes, he is a leader in his own group, masterfully choosing a photographer to produce the highest quality content and a copywriter to write copy so that flawless work is developed.
Myriad are the potentials and tasks of the Social Media Manager, listing each of these through a single article requires an endless amount of information. I invite readers to read up on this “profession of the future,” in my opinion super interesting and also a lot of fun.
