CLASS I

PURPOSE.

To identify the main physical and man-made elements of the landscape and relate them to each other
To promote a correct and respectful attitude toward the environment

GOALS

To know how to read physical and thematic maps, how to use data, tables and graphs
To know how to use acquired knowledge to correctly relate learned content by making simple analyses and connections
To be able to express oneself with correct disciplinary vocabulary

PURPOSE.

To promote understanding of changes and diversity in the contemporary world through comparisons between different geographical and cultural areas
To foster awareness of the presence of socio-economic imbalances at the planetary level
To raise awareness of issues of solidarity, peace, multiculturalism and sustainability of development

GOALS
To be able to grasp and analyze the processes of change in the contemporary world
To know how to analyze and describe the main characteristics of the geographical areas under study using methods, tools and concepts of geography
To be able to express oneself with correct disciplinary vocabulary

To promote knowledge of Italy and its tourism, environmental and cultural heritage
To foster the understanding that any activity aimed at tourism must be respectful of the environment and the characteristics of the host region
To promote the spirit of observation, research and planning

GOALS
To know how to recognize the geographical factors that favor the development of tourism activities in Italy and the transformations they bring to the environment
To be able to recognize and compare the types of tourism in Italy
Know how to analyze images, cartographic sources and statistical data
Know how to relate the contents learned with correct disciplinary vocabulary

CLASS IV
 

PURPOSE 
To promote knowledge of European states with reference to territory, society , culture, economy and in particular to tourism activity. 
Analyze the image of the territory both to recognize the specificity of its cultural heritage and to identify strategies for the development of integrated and sustainable tourism.

GOALS 
To know how to recognize the various European states by knowing their climates, environments, economic, socio-cultural and tourism aspects.
To know how to compare the various forms of tourism in Europe
Know how to use the terminology of the subject apply it in specific contexts.

To foster reflection on the environmental and cultural impact that tourism entails and therefore on the need for education in respect and sustainability.

GOALS
To know how to use the tools of the discipline: maps, thematic maps, road maps, urban maps, tourist guides
Know how to read and interpret statistical data and graphs
Know how to recognize and compare the types of tourism in the world
